Map

I mentioned this in the weblog, but I don't know if everyone reads it -- I created a Frappr! Map where you can put a virtual "pin" to indicate your location, and leave your name and a message. It's kind of cool to see where everyone is from, and see pictures, so if you can, please go add your pin!

Check out our Frappr!

I noticed the map yesterday and added myself, but today I don't see my name on it. It is listed with everyone else just not on the map itself it seems.

I noticed that, too, when Shannon said you lived really close to her--you're there, your pin is just behind Shannon's. I clicked around on the map around that spot and was able to get your little balloon to open, also, if you click on your name on the list, it will open.

Ummm...could you delete my extra photo...the one without the...er...city and state beneath it? Seems I hastily miss-typed my zip and hit upload, not realizing that I had an 'invalid zip code' error message. Either I'm not as geeky as I thought, or this really is a beta program.

Anyway, I've really enjoyed reading your journal for the last five years.

Whoo-hoo, first pin in Canada!

I love the map! It's like a family reunion, and we're all related through you, Willa. :>

I was wondering: is there any way to contact people on the map? Cynthia, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, happens to live in the city where I grew up! I was so excited to see that! It's a small Willa-world. ;)

Omygosh! I just noticed Gloria in Laurel, Maryland - I lived there, too, and went to jr. high and high school there!

Ahem.

No, I don't think there's any way to contact someone through the map interface--they don't ask for email addresses. That would be kind of fun, wouldn't it?

When I click on the link to go to the map, there is a blank space and no map. I uploaded my picture and wrote a few lines but none of this connected. Help what am I doing wrong ?

I can see you, Mary! You did it right. I'm not sure what kind of code that map uses, but it's probably pretty memory intensive. I'm sorry you can't see it, but it looks like it worked anyway.

I paid $2.05 for gas here yesterday. :)
