Pye

Pyewacket died this morning at about 1:40 a.m. Bob had gotten up to check on her, and she died on his lap. If any death can be good, I think that was probably the best possible way for her to go. She was with the person she loved most in the world.

She was so much a part of this house that it's almost impossible for me to believe she's gone, especially when I see Bob in his recliner in the office watching television, or playing a game on the computer. It just seems wrong that she's not there with him. She was truly an exceptional cat, and her time here on earth was much too short.

She never met a stranger; she loved everyone, and everyone loved her. She could be a brat sometimes, but she was the sweetest, most loving cat I've ever known, and had the most personality. She'll be entertaining everyone in heaven, I'm sure.

Willa and Bob--

I'm so sorry for your loss. I knew that it was inevitable, but it is sad nonetheless. Heaven always needs good kitties.

Willa and Bob--I am so saddened to hear of the loss of your precious Pye, I have enjoyed your adventures together over the years. I know that indeed heaven does now have another very special kittie soul and there is a Full Moon tonight just for her... holding you in my heart and thoughts, Cathleen

I don't really know what to say other than Hugs from Liverpool. John and me are thinking of you both. And please give Dinah a tickle behind the ears from me - expect she is missing Pye.

Willa, I'm so sorry for your loss of Pye. There are no words that can make you feel better except knowing that you have many friends here and we all mourn your loss.

I'm sure you've heard of the Rainbow Bridge poem. I'm sure it will make you cry, but I think it will also bring you comfort.

Terribly sad news. I'm so sorry.

I have to say, though, that the photo you included in the post is spectacular. What a cat!

I'm so sorry. Yours is the first online journal I ever read and I've been in love with Pyewacket as long as I can remember.

I'm so sorry......but how it must be to pass from one existance to the next in the arms of the one you love. Pye will continue to live on in our memories.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your Pye looks just like my Molly and I can understand the sadness you are feeling. You are in my thoughts.

Like you and Bob, my husband and I have cats for kids, and we know only too well the pain of loss you're feeling. Pye was lucky to have you both as parents. Much love to you and little Dinah -special thoughts and cuddles to her, since she's no doubt feeling the loss, too.

Willa, Bob & Dinah,
My heart goes out to you each. I remember when Pyewacket adoped you, you were meant to be a family. I know your sadness and pain all too well. Pye was the most loved kitty in the world.

I'm so saddened about your loss. I've been reading your journal for about ten years and I fell like I lost her too.

I haven't checked in much lately, so was sorry to hear about what happened to Pye. I've read about her so long that she seems like one of my cats. You're right--if there is a good death, it must be dying in the hands of someone you love.

Bless your hearts. My thoughts are with you.

Willa - I have been reading your journal since Dona. I'm so sorry about Pye. May you and Bob experience some of God's grace and comfort during this time.

Everyone has been so sweeet, and said such nice things. Bob said he read the comments last night, and I've been receiving them in my email. It still seems like kind of a bad dream. Dinah has been extra-clingy, either feeling the loss, or picking up on the stress level. I think she's been lonely this week.

Thank you all!

Willa

I'm so, so sorry for your loss. I understand about a "good death" though.

Add me to the list of people commenting - that yours is the first journal I ever read. See what you started?? :-)

Happy Thanksgiving to you, Bob and your families.
